Allionna's Story
"Allionna's older brother died from SMA when he was 4 months old. We weren't able to have amniocentesis when I was pregnant for Allionna. During the pregnancy I feared something was wrong since she seldom moved. The doctor decided to induce labor due to the lack of fetal movement. She was tested for SMA at birth, and we took her home to await the results. When she was 2 weeks old, I took her for a checkup and was given the devastating news that she had SMA. The doctor said it would happen just like her brother, and we would only have a couple of months.The way hasn't been easy, but Allionna is now 4 years old, and we cherish every day with her in our lives. She has a huge, amazing smile. Everyone who meets her loves her right away."

We just got the quilt! We absolutely love it! Its so beautiful!! I held it up and Alli looked at all of the cows and smiled. Because of Alli's muscle weakness it's hard for her to smile. So she's not smiling in the pictures but she is very happy. She smiles with her eyes! Thank you so very much!!
