Benjamin's Story
In March of 2014 we noticed Benny's eye was watery and droopy. We took him to the doctor for what we thought was pink eye. We were told it was allergies and treated it as such. We went back to the doctor every week until we finally got in to see a specialist on April 29th. The specialist sent us directly to the children's hospital. On May 1, 2014 Benny had surgery to have the mass removed and biopsied. We were called from the waiting room to speak with the surgeon. We were not prepared for the news we were about to receive. Our 21 month old baby had cancer.
Benny has gone through countless chemo therapies, radiation, and ER visits and hospitalizations. Through it all he has been a very active and happy boy. His favorite thing in the world is to play with his older brother Joey and dote on his baby brother Samuel.
