Kyla's Story

Our daughter, Kyla, suffered from a lack of oxygen at birth called Hypoxic
Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). As a result of the HIE, Kyla suffered damage
to her brain that has left her with many challenges. Kyla works hard
everyday despite her diagnoses.

As a result of the HIE, Kyla suffers from Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Visual
Impairment, GERD, developmental delays, and has many other challenges in her
short life. She has a big team of specialists and is in eight therapies
right now!

Cerebral Palsy makes everything Kyla tries to do challenging. She is not
able to roll over, crawl, or even sit up yet. CP affects the brain and
nervous system functions, such as feeding, thinking, seeing, hearing,
learning, and movement. There is currently no cure for CP.

Kyla has been through a lot of challenges in her short life but is working
hard and smiling everyday!

"Thank You"

We want to send you a huge thank you from our family! We got Kyla's quilt in the mail and were so excited to see it! It's so so beautiful and means so much to us! With Kyla's vision impairment it's easiest for her to see red simple objects and this beautiful quilt is perfect for her. She'll be able to use it for so many years to come!

Seeing all the names of the nice ladies who spent their time making a square for Kyla was so special to us! Thanks so so much! Here is a picture of Kyla and her cousin, Jordan, with the quilt the day we got it. So gorgeous! Thank you for all of the work that you do to make our kids smile. We really appreciate it!
